Qualifications
- Requires knowledge of fundamental and advanced coaching techniques for basketball.
- Demonstrates ability to teach, enforce, and model positive behavior and values to student-athletes.
- Follows NFHS and CIF coaching codes of conduct.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize academics for student-athletes.
- Monitor academic performance of team members.
- Develop team rules and communicate them to team and parents.
- Provide schedules for practices, tournaments and games.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly.
- Be punctual and prepared for practices and games.
- Maintain CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance.
- Encourage student-athletes to do their best and adhere to rules.
- Respect all school and team policies with consistency.
- Communicate with parents and athletes about injuries and policies.
- Coordinate with athletic director regarding facilities use out of season.
