Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of fundamental and advanced basketball skills and techniques.
• Ability to teach, enforce, model appropriate behavior and character values.
• Follows NFHS/CIF coaches codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize academics for student-athletes.
• Monitor academic performance and team rules with parents.
• Provide practice, tournament and game schedules.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Be punctual and prepared for all practices and games.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance.
• Encourage student-athletes to perform their best.
• Enforce school and team rules consistently.
• Be professional in actions and words.
• Create a positive team environment.
• Explain roles to players and communicate rules to players and parents.
• Relay injuries promptly to athletic staff and manage absence notes.
• Coordinate out-of-season facility use with AD approval.
