Job summary

Eugene School District 4J in Eugene, OR is seeking a dedicated JV head coach for the 2026/2027 season. You will assist in planning and implementing athletic program policies, while providing leadership and supervision across junior varsity teams and staff.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of OSAA/NFHS rules, coaching experience, and a background in youth development. Appointment includes ensuring compliance, safety, and constructive, confidential support for student-athletes and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid/CPR certification and concussion management training required or preferred.
• Background check clearance is required.
• OSAA and NFHS rules knowledge expected.
• TSPC license preferred; Oregon driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and developing policies, regulations, and procedures for the interscholastic athletic program.
• Provide leadership and vision within the athletic program and supervise junior varsity/secondary head coaching staff.
• Organize oversight of all program aspects to meet district and OSAA/NFHS requirements.
• Utilize effective coaching, motivational techniques, and collaboration with diverse students and staff to improve performance.
