Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Possess or qualify for New Mexico coaching license.
• Teacher experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules for NM Association.
• Knowledge of the rules for NM Activities Association.
• Valid driver's license.
• Alternatives to above qualifications may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Help each student achieve a high level of skill and sportsmanship.
• Coach individuals in required skills for the activity.
• Plan and schedule regular practices in-season.
• Enforce rules and supervise eligibility and behavior.
• Recommend equipment and supplies as head coach or athletic director.
• Maintain attendance, insurance, and physical records.
• Ensure safety of facilities during activities.
• Prepare inventory and lettering for athletes.
• Supervise athletes and ensure academic work is addressed.
• Attend to duties assigned by athletic director or principal.
