• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Possess or qualify for New Mexico coaching license.
• Teacher experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules for NM Association and NM Activities Association.

Responsibilities

• Help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Coach individual participants in skills for excellence in the activity.
• Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
• Monitor compliance with all rules and regulations for activities assigned.
• Maintain equipment inventories, inspection records and related paperwork.
• Oversee safety of facilities where activities are conducted.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship and set penalties for violations.
• Attend to academic classroom work as assigned; apply appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Prepare and submit lists of participating athletes and lettermen; inventory equipment at season end.
• Ensure athletes are well supervised and limit time out of school for games.
