Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field with 1 year direct client care experience.
• Certification as Juvenile Detention Officer or eligible within 6 months of hire, including CPR/First Aid/Handle with Care.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of all client daily activities.
• Assess juveniles, develop treatment plans and implement plans and disciplinary strategies.
• Document clients' behavior in the department information system.
• Assist in training other juvenile residential treatment employees.
• Provide individual and crisis intervention counseling as required.
