Qualifikationen

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program.
• Ability to work with youths in a demanding, emotionally challenging environment.
• Willingness to be assigned to different shifts or locations as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years old and meet departmental standards.

Aufgaben

• Provide day-to-day direct supervision to youths to ensure health, safety, and welfare.
• Offer individual and group counseling to youths to promote responsibility and alternatives.
• Make sound judgments in crisis situations and document actions taken.
• Discipline youths by enforcing facility rules and documenting behavior.
• Back-up staff duties: transporting youths, administering medications, intake/discharges, and enforced restraints as required.
• Conduct inspections, rounds, drills, and room/vehicle searches.
• Coordinate daily educational and entertainment programs and activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
