Job summary

The Juvenile Division of the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced attorney to join our team. The role emphasizes justice, integrity, compassion, leadership, and professionalism within a national model for innovative responses to youthful offending.

The attorney will prosecute juvenile matters, file, negotiate and try cases, and contribute to Restorative Justice initiatives while engaging with the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in prosecuting juvenile/criminal cases and trial practice.
• Ability to file, negotiate and try cases with restorative justice focus.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Commitment to race, equity, social justice principles and cultural competency.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute juvenile criminal matters with a large caseload.
• File, negotiate and try cases; regular calendar coverage and some weekend telecommuting.
• Engage in community outreach as needed and support Restorative Justice initiatives.
