Oregon Judicial Department, Court Programs Division in Salem/Portland, is hiring a Juvenile Legal Policy Advisor to analyze proposed legislation and current juvenile laws, and to develop new programs improving outcomes for youth and families in the courts.

You will draft forms, training materials, and deliver sessions for judges, staff and stakeholders while coordinating legislative proposals and fiscal statements. Hybrid work options may be available.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Four (4) years of legal and legal research experience.
• Current membership in good standing in the Oregon State Bar.

Responsabilités

• Analyze proposed legislation, current laws, rules, and policies for juvenile court programs.
• Develop and deliver training materials for judges, staff, and stakeholders.
• Draft and review fiscal impact statements; support legislative work groups and advisory committees.
• Support development and implementation of juvenile programs to improve outcomes for youth and families.
• Collaborate with Division Directors, program managers, and external partners to implement strategic planning.
