The Oregon Judicial Department in Salem or Portland seeks a Juvenile Legal Policy Advisor to analyze proposed legislation and current laws, develop juvenile programs, draft forms, and train judges and staff. You will collaborate with stakeholders to improve youth outcomes and support statewide data and policy efforts.

This is a full-time, limited-duration position funded through grants with potential for extension based on funding.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Four years of legal and legal research experience.
• Current membership in good standing in the Oregon State Bar.

Responsabilités

• Analyze proposed legislation, current laws, rules, policies, and procedures to support juvenile programs.
• Develop new juvenile programs to improve outcomes for youth and families in the court system.
• Draft legal forms, instructions, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver training sessions for judges, OJD staff, and stakeholders in the juvenile legal system.
• Provide legislative support, including drafting fiscal impact statements and serving on work groups and committees.

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Oregon State Bar member in good standing
