Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensed attorney with one year’s experience as a prosecutor.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate among multiple agencies on time-sensitive investigations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, writing and trial advocacy skills are essential.
• Ability to handle juvenile court procedures and related legal mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Perform all legal duties and functions related to the investigation and prosecution of delinquency and youthful offender matters in Juvenile Court.
• Review reports, attend forensic interviews, and work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Handle arraignments, pre-trial conferences, and bail requests in Juvenile Court.
• Collaborate with Court Clinic for risk assessments and evaluations; participate in MDT meetings.
• Investigate and present youthful offender cases for grand jury when appropriate.
• Conduct motion hearings, bench and jury trials, and probation hearings.
• Participate in community outreach programs and trainings.
