Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Court Designated Worker for the Administrative Office of the Courts, located in Hodgenville. This role handles intake, assessment, diversion, referrals, and case management for youth and families involved in Kentucky's juvenile justice system.

You will collaborate with courts, schools, law enforcement, and community partners to connect families with resources and monitor diversion agreements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a job-related field (human services, criminal justice, psychology, sociology).
• One (1) year of job-related experience with youth and families or in juvenile justice.

Responsibilities

• Process juvenile intakes and enter new referrals and complaints.
• Conduct interviews and complete risk and needs screening.
• Determine eligibility for diversion and develop intervention strategies.
• Develop and monitor diversion agreements and program requirements.
• Provide case management and coordinate referrals to community resources.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation per statutes and policies.
• Prepare reports and other required court documents.
• Communicate and collaborate with courts, schools, law enforcement, and families.
• Respond to inquiries about juvenile justice processes and available services.
• Participate in on-call coverage and travel within the assigned region as needed.
• Support early intervention efforts to reduce juvenile court involvement.
• Attend required trainings and stay updated on applicable laws and best practices.
• Promote professional relationships with youth, families, and partners.
