Job summary

The District 23 Office of the District Attorney is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for the Juvenile Division to prosecute juvenile cases in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties, including Juvenile Deprived, Juvenile Delinquent, and Youthful Offender. This is a full-time exempt role with duties spanning arraignments, hearings, and trials in juvenile court.

The Juvenile ADA works under the District Attorney to protect public safety and welfare by proactively advocating for justice and acting

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Oklahoma and in good standing.
• Familiarity with juvenile law strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis, and writing skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of statutes, constitutional law, and trial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent the State of Oklahoma in juvenile court for Lincoln and Pottawatomie counties.
• Attend meetings with law enforcement, victims, and community partners.
• Review charging decisions and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Prepare discovery, interview witnesses, and litigate motions.
• Conduct trials and manage a high-volume juvenile docket with professionalism.
