Job summary

Marion County's Juvenile Department seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to provide direct care to youth aged 12–17, whether in detention, the Guaranteed Attendance Program, or Alternative Programs. You will conduct health assessments, dispense medications, and update MARS as part of daily care.

The role requires triage of urgent medical situations, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Oregon.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Valid driver's license and driving record reviewed.
• Post-offer drug screen and background checks required.
• Must not be excluded from federal health programs participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments for juveniles.
• Develop intervention strategies and deliver nursing services to individuals, families, and groups.
• Document encounter information accurately and timely.
• Maintain narcotic records and manage pharmacy coordination.
• Collaborate with probation and other staff to coordinate care and refills.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
