Job summary

Adelphoi is hiring a Detention Counselor in Pittsburgh, PA to work with the juvenile justice system, maintaining a safe, secure environment for youth in a 24/7 operation.

A minimum of 60 college credits is required; preferred experience in juvenile justice or youth-focused roles; able to pass a company-paid physical and obtain required clearances.

New hires complete a two-week daylight training, then transition to Highland Detention facility with travel costs covered, and then rotating shifts.

What You’ll Do:

As a Detention Counselor, you will work alongside the juvenile justice system, including courts, police, and service providers, to maintain a safe, secure environment for youth. Your work will be essential to a 24/7/365 operation, helping adolescents in temporary care navigate challenges and find a path forward.
