Job summary

Pierce County Juvenile Court is seeking a Probation Manager for Dependency to lead department staff, champion child- and family-centered practices, and balance legal requirements with innovation. You will guide staff, support judicial officers, and ensure equitable outcomes for youth and families.

This leadership role requires collaboration with court partners, a commitment to ethical practice, and the ability to work in a high-conflict but strengths-based environment while traveling to assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in corrections, social work, management, or related field.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in child welfare or juvenile justice.
• Valid Washington State driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and evaluates work of subordinate staff.
• Collaborates with judicial officers and supports departmental priorities.
• Manages multiple teams (Probation Counselors, Case Monitors, Guardian ad Litems, etc.).
• Develops partnerships with county departments and community organizations.
• Ensures compliance with legal directions while centering youth and families.
