Job summary

North Dakota Court System seeks a Youth Coordinator for a 20-hour-per-week, part-time role serving youth and families during involvement with Juvenile Court. The position requires evening and weekend hours with some weekday hours, wage of $19.12/hour, and mileage reimbursement.

Internships are available if approved by the university/college. Responsibilities include assisting with transportation, employment, and enrollment in programs; mentoring and connecting families to services; and

Qualifications

• Keeps information confidential.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with youth and families.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists families with transportation to court meetings and evaluations.
• Assists in seeking and gaining employment for youth.
• Connects youth and families with positive social activities.
• Mentors healthy relationships and bridges court communications.
• Documents activities in the case management system.
• Performs drug testing when requested.
• Conducts curfew checks by phone or in person.
• Reports neglect or abuse as a mandated reporter.
