The Jury Service Clerk plays a vital role within the Court Services Department, supporting the Clerk’s Office by ensuring accurate and efficient jury services and compliance with applicable Florida statutes, rules and administrative orders regarding jury service.
A Jury Service Clerk prioritizes attention to detail and has the responsibility for interacting with the public in a confident manner. Jury Service Clerks must have the ability and commitment to follow written procedures for a significant range of tasks. Jury Service Clerks must possess superior communication and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment, while also processing and maintaining official and court documents. Jury Service Clerks must act in compliance with legal requirements and established internal policies and procedures. This position is responsible for executing clerical and administrative tasks.
As frontline representatives of the Clerk and Comptroller’s Office, Jury Service Clerks are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. They must demonstrate superior communication skills and attention to detail when assisting both internal and external stakeholders.
The Jury Service Clerks also plays a key role in continuity of operations planning (COOP), ensuring essential court services remain operational during emergencies by following departmental protocols and assisting with critical functions as required.
