Job summary

The Junkluggers is seeking a Junk Removal Specialist to be the friendly face of our service team in Louisiana. You’ll safely load, transport, and unload items while delivering excellent customer service and upholding our green commitments.

This front-line role requires safety-minded teamwork and a readiness to adapt to varied removal jobs throughout the day. You will join a values-driven culture focused on community impact, environmental care, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; customer-facing role.
• Ability to learn and use technology in the field.
• Learn Navigator and Driver positions.
• Manage resources and routes efficiently.
• Strong safety practices and policy adherence.
• Able to work some Saturdays.
• Valid IL C-class driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Supply own mobile phone; tablets provided for on-the-job duties.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete all jobs according to company standards, practices, and mission statement
• Safely load, transport, and unload customer items in accordance with state and local laws
• Assist in training new hires in subordinate roles
• Attend all mandatory training, meetings & events
• Help maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting of any observed issues
• Maintain and reinforce a safety culture at The Junkluggers
• Embrace, implement, and promote continuous improvement ideas
• Provide operational support when needed, such as dispatching
• Serve as the point person in the field for both management and your fellow Luggers
• Support recruiting of new team members and promote company values

• Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly and efficiently
• Learn and master skills of both Navigator and Driver positions
• Ability to effectively utilize and manage resource locations in the current territory (donation, recycling, and disposal centers) and use them efficiently
• Attention to detail in understanding truck operation, maintenance, and care
• Exhibit a strong safety attitude and be assertive with others when enforcing safety practices and other company policies
• Confident and courageous in reporting infractions, accidents, or other issues to management
• Ability to influence and lead team(s) in the field and show potential for advancement
• Ability to work some Saturdays
• Obtain and maintain a valid IL C‑class driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Supply own mobile phone (company will provide tablets for on‑the‑job duties)
