Job summary

Lucayan Technology Solutions LLC seeks aJunior Windows Application Administrator to provide overnight support for enterprise apps on a federal IT program. You will monitor critical systems, respond to incidents, and restore services, gaining hands-on DoD cloud and cybersecurity experience alongside senior engineers.

The role requires a minimum T3 clearance, a IT-related degree or Microsoft cert, and a fixed overnight schedule (10:00 PM–6:00 AM ET). Remote work from the U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires T3 security clearance
• Associates or Bachelors in IT or related field OR Microsoft certification
• 2+ years of Windows Server and application administration or IT ops support
• Experience with incident response, patching, and production troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and basic SQL
• Ability to work a fixed overnight schedule (10:00 PM–6:00 AM ET)

Responsibilities

• Monitor overnight enterprise applications, a public-facing website, and database alerts
• Respond to incidents, notify stakeholders, and restore service within defined timelines
• Troubleshoot, patch, and maintain Windows-hosted apps during scheduled maintenance
• Apply security patches and STIG configurations; remediate vulnerability findings
• Provide first-line support for SQL Server and Oracle databases; escalate as needed
• Track incidents/outages in ServiceNow; assist with after-action reports
• Document overnight procedures and hand off issues to day team

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance: minimum T3 required
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, OR a current Microsoft certification
• 2+ years of Windows Server and application administration or IT operations support
• Experience with incident response, patching, and troubleshooting in a production environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and basic SQL
• Ability to work a fixed overnight schedule (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM ET)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a DoD or federal IT environment (STIG, IAVM, ACAS)
• Exposure to Oracle Database, Apache/Tomcat, Splunk, or MOVEit
• Experience with ServiceNow or another ITIL-based ticketing system
• Cloud platform experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS)

Certifications and Clearance

• CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8140 baseline certification) required at hire
• Microsoft Windows Server certification required; must be obtained within 6 months of hire if not already held
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Tier 3 or Tier 5 background investigation and a Common Access Card (CAC); active investigation a plus
• Completion of required DoD security awareness training within 30 days of start
• Fully remote from a U.S. location using government-furnished equipment
• Overnight shift requiring availability for the full shift and timely incident response
