Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Junior R&D Chemist to join its expanding R&D team. You will develop innovative chemical formulations, work with a variety of polymer technologies, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

This role offers a base salary of $75,000–$95,000, plus medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k benefits, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee growth and a safe, productive workplace.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of industrial formulation experience.
• Experience formulating cleaners, water-based coatings, adhesives or related.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop cleaners, primers, water-based release coatings, and processing aids for polymer applications.
• Conduct laboratory testing and evaluate product performance for various mold-release applications.
• Assist with the development and optimization of new chemical formulations.
• Perform application testing of cleaners and release coatings for use in the polymer industry.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Sales teams to support product development and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot formulation and application challenges.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, technical documentation, and a clean, safe working environment.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop expertise in industrial chemical formulations.
