Job summary

You will contribute to NVHI development, validation, and integration from early development through production, working hands-on with tests, data analysis, and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes testing, data interpretation, and actionable recommendations, with collaboration across Design, CAE, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to drive NVHI

Responsibilities

• Support NVHI development, validation, and integration activities at the vehicle, system, and component levels.
• Conduct and support NVHI testing, including test preparation, data acquisition, subjective evaluations, and post-processing.
• Interpret engineering requests, vehicle requirements, and applicable NVHI standards to ensure proper test execution and documentation.
• Perform analysis of NVHI data and provide clear technical summaries, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Support NVHI assessments across operating conditions, including powertrain, road, wind, accessory, and interior noise.
• Support tracking of program NVHI performance relative to targets, including issue tracking, recovery actions, and scorecards, as applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Design, CAE, Manufacturing, Suppliers) to identify root causes and implement NVHI solutions.
• Support benchmarking, standardized testing, and NVHI target-setting activities.
• Prepare technical presentations and summaries for program and management reviews.
• Work closely with technicians, mechanics, and engineering peers during vehicle test and development activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness within the NVHI organization.

The NVHI Engineer is responsible for supporting vehicle, system, and component noise, vibration, and sound quality performance across vehicle programs. This role contributes to NVHI development, validation, and integration activities through testing, analysis, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration. The position supports both hands-on technical execution and program-level NVHI performance delivery from early development through production.
