Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a Junior Tulip Platform Engineer to join a manufacturing-systems team. This early-career, hands-on role focuses on learning, building, and maintaining Tulip applications across AST's manufacturing sites under mentorship.

You will contribute to app development, collaborate with internal peers and external resources, and grow in depth and breadth of enterprise applications in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional software development, systems, or manufacturing IT experience.
• Scripting knowledge in Python or JavaScript; basic SQL skills.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration concepts.
• Interest in manufacturing systems and Tulip; willingness to learn from mentors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Tulip applications for manufacturing execution and data collection with senior guidance.
• Develop and maintain connectors for real-time data exchange with shop-floor equipment and enterprise systems.
• Follow established platform standards for naming, schemas, and app versioning.
• Participate in peer reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality.
• Support Tulip Tables schema work and data lifecycle across projects.
• Gather requirements with Quality, Operations, and IT stakeholders to ensure traceability.
