Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Siting Analyst to support electric transmission siting activities from planning through stakeholder engagement. You will handle research, GIS tasks, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to develop siting studies, routing analyses, and permitting strategies.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, environmental, regulatory, and real estate disciplines, with a focus on learning and contributing under a Siting Lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, natural resources, real estate, public policy, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in environmental planning, permitting, infrastructure, GIS, or land use.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills with map interpretation ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and exposure to ArcGIS or mapping platforms.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Perform research and compile environmental, land-use, regulatory, and infrastructure data.
• Support GIS mapping, constraint screening, route comparisons, and data-quality checks.
• Assist with field reconnaissance, meeting preparation, site documentation, and stakeholder tracking.
• Draft assigned portions of technical reports, exhibits, presentations, and project trackers.
• Coordinate tasks with internal teams/consultants and communicate schedule concerns or data gaps.
