Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering Group in Fairfax, VA. You will contribute to traffic analysis, design, and ITS projects across the mid-Atlantic region.

Position may include client-site work and collaboration with multiple teams. Qualifications include ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with internship experience and 0–4 years of related work.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Relevant internship/job experience related to transportation engineering required.
• 0-4 years of relevant work experience ideal.
• Strong oral and written communication at all organization levels.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signals, signing, markings, lighting, and ITS devices.
• Prepare contract documents and technical reports for projects.
• Contribute to multimodal transportation plans and parking studies.
