  • Improve tooling designs to reduce issues in future projects.
  • Research and develop new tooling based on manufacturing standards to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Install standard parts to tooling and program controls.
  • Resolve production technical problems and document solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Junior Tooling Engineer - Final Assembly Technology Department

II. Job Summary:

Execute tooling/fixtures designs, optimization, and preventative trouble-shooting in coordinate with product processes; ensure production's stability and efficiency.

III. Job Functions and Duties

NO. Representative Duties

1 Initially complete the design, verification, and installation of tooling and fixtures based upon project progress, timeline, and budget; ensure newly developed tooling associated with specific project to be effective;

2 Initially complete all tooling/fixture related work instruction drafting, revision, update, and records keeping;

3 Responsible for transferring tooling/fixture to production and providing operation training to all associates;

4 Responsible for routine tooling/fixture preventative and abrupt maintenance, as well as malfunction data collection, summary and analysis;

5 Initially complete the improving current tooling/fixture by optimizing designs, mechanisms or technical specifications; avoid such similar issues encountered in future development projects based on gathered experiences;

6 Responsible for research and development of new tooling/fixtures based on current manufacturing process standards to fulfill the needs of increasing production efficiency, reducing quality issues, and reasonably minimizing cost;

7 Responsible for installation of standard parts to the tooling/fixtures; programs specific codes controlling the tooling/fixture;

8 Responsible for solving technical problems during production; Solve technical difficulty relating to working procedure and keep record;

9 Other duties as assigned;

Job Requirements Language Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.

Experience 0~1 years of experience in the related production processes and technologies

Education Bachelor’s degree or above (those with production experience are preferred);

Physical Condition 1. Healthy; 2. Adaptive to long-term traveling;

Other Requirements MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. COMPUTER SKILLS - Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities utilized on the job
  • 1. Proficiency in office software such as WORD, EXCEL, PPT and PLEX;

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.
