Job summary

IES Communications is expanding and is currently looking for a Junior Tester in Tempe, Arizona. The Junior Tester will work alongside the development team to thoroughly test software applications, identify defects, and ensure effective documentation of all testing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, preferably a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SQL, and testing methodologies. A salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year is offered.

Job Summary

Our company is growing rapidly and is seeking a Junior Tester. The Junior Tester will work with the development team to test software, identify defects, execute test cases, report defects, verify fixes, and maintain test documentation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Document test cases and execute them.
• Report any identified issues.
• Verify fixes and maintain test documentation.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify defects.
• Participate in the software development life cycle.
• Coordinate new development activities and ensure they are consistent with established documentation standards.
• Manage routine and special projects that may involve coordination with other departments.
• Oversee and provide guidance to peers and serve as a reference point for day‑to‑day questions.
• Report staff productivity on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Review test plans and participate in system testing activities as per QA processes.
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct training for stakeholders, and report errors to developers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field a plus.
• 0–2 years of experience; 2+ years preferred in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI.
• Experience with software testing and knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Self‑motivated, professional, and able to promote company culture and mission.
• Proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
• Must be able to travel to corporate office as needed.
• Regular attendance is mandatory.

Salary: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
