Description

The Junior Test Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting production testing, End-of-Line (EOL) testing, and basic troubleshooting activities for EPC Power's production product lines, initially focused on the M-Rack line. Working under the guidance of senior technicians, engineers, and production leadership, this position helps ensure products meet quality, performance, and safety requirements before shipment to customers.

This role is ideal for individuals interested in electronics, electrical systems, manufacturing, or power conversion technology who are looking to develop hands‑on technical skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements
Production & End-of-Line Testing
  • Perform production and End-of-Line (EOL) testing on production assemblies and systems, initially focused on the M-Rack line, following approved work instructions and test procedures.
  • Assist with system-level testing and product verification activities.
  • Set up test equipment, cables, fixtures, and instrumentation required for production testing.
  • Verify product functionality and document test results accurately.
  • Follow established procedures to identify and elevate product failures or abnormalities.
  • Support final inspection and quality verification activities prior to shipment.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
  • Assist senior technicians and engineers with troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and system-level issues.
  • Learn to diagnose, isolate, and assist in repairing common production and test failures using approved troubleshooting methods.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities as assigned.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
Equipment & Work Area Maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of test stations and work areas using 5S principles.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and setup of production test equipment.
  • Ensure tools, fixtures, and test equipment are handled properly and stored correctly.
  • Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
Quality & Safety
  • Strictly follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety practices, PPE requirements, and all established safe work instructions. Safety is a critical responsibility of this role.
  • Maintain accurate test records and production documentation.
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical and product knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school coursework, vocational training, military technical experience, or Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, test procedures, and assembly documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, testing, repair, or technician experience.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment.
  • Experience working in electronics, power systems, industrial equipment, automotive, military, aerospace, or renewable energy environments.
  • Basic understanding of multimeters and electrical measurements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and use hand tools safely.
  • Ability to work around electrical equipment while following established safety procedures.
