Job summary

Randstad USA in Streetsboro, Ohio is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team. You will implement test methods, operate test equipment, and conduct functional testing to ensure power distribution equipment meets high reliability standards, with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include pre-power up, functional and burn-in testing up to 600VAC; troubleshooting AC/DC circuits; and maintaining accurate test reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent training, or 2+ years electrical testing experience.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams; proficient with Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of electronics, circuit troubleshooting, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Testing & Inspection: perform pre-power up, functional, and burn-in testing up to 600VAC.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: assist with AC/DC circuit troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Documentation: maintain accurate test reports and technical documentation.
• Technical Setup: program electronics using computer tools and set up test equipment.
• Operations: work independently on routine tasks while following safety procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing test methods, operating test equipment, and conducting functional testing to ensure our power distribution solutions meet the highest standards of reliability. You will work with limited supervision, playing a lead role in both new product testing and standard production evaluation.

Qualifications

• Education:Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent Military Electrical Training, or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience performing electrical testing in the power systems industry.
• Technical Skills:Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, current meters, etc.) and precision measurement tools.
• Documentation:Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge:Deep understanding of electronics, circuit-level troubleshooting, and electrical safety standards (e.g., LOTO/PPE).
