Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a Test Engineer to support production floor test processes and product startups in Minnesota. You will coordinate installation of test equipment, qualify instruments, and implement improvements across hardware and software updates.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure testability and reliability. The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma involvement, calibration procedures, and test program development for electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Computing Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
• Understanding of electrical design principles.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs to manage test fixtures.
• 0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates installation of production test equipment.
• Performs test equipment qualifications and characterization.
• Coordinates installation of hardware and software updates as required.
• Proposes ideas for custom tooling for test process and equipment.
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
• Reviews engineering drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability.
• Develops product specific test programs.
• Works with cross functional teams to address corrective actions.
• Assists maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures.
• Analyzes line return information to drive corrective action on test process issues.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
