Leidos is seeking a detail-oriented J uni or IT Technical Writer to support documentation and content development across multiple IT systems and services on CASTLE-NET. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of IT concepts and excellent writing skills to translate technical material into clear, user-friendly documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting technical documents, SOPs, user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base content
• Work with engineers, developers, and PMs to understand and document system specifications and workflows
• Maintain version control and ensure consistency across documentation sets
• Conduct basic reviews of content for clarity, grammar, and alignment with style guides
• Help support internal communications, training documentation, and process documentation
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and (4)+ years of experience in technical writing or related field; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into readable content
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic publishing tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, WordPress)
  
  

Clearance Requirement

• Active DoD Secret clearance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with DoD communication entities
• Prior experience with working with multiple entities simultaneously
• Prior experience with XML/HTML
• Prior experience with developing technical data for DoD programs

Pay Range

Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
