Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC seeks highly motivated undergraduate or graduate Junior Technical Consultants in the DC Metro area to support government clients and learn government consulting fundamentals. You will contribute to the full software lifecycle, building web features, integrating APIs, fixing defects, and supporting production deployments.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance.
• Master’s degree completed prior to starting in a relevant field.
• 0 to 1 years’ experience in agile software delivery as a developer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial work ethic and self-motivation.
• Strong time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook).
• Ability to collaborate across levels in an organization.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and at least one modern web framework (React/Angular/Vue/Node.js).
• Basic programming in Python, Java, or C# and API REST/JSON familiarity.
• Databases such as SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL or MongoDB familiarity.
• Git/GitHub familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing client systems and applications.
• Design and implement web applications, prototypes, and user interfaces.
• Analyze client business requirements and translate to technical needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients daily.
• Engage in critical problem solving and produce documentation.
• Participate in project planning and estimation with the project manager.
• Implement tasks aligned with the project schedule.
• Continuously improve skills and adopt emerging technologies.
