Job summary

CSG Government Solutions is seeking Technical Consultants to support state government modernization projects nationwide. You will work on teams delivering IT and process improvements for healthcare, child support, unemployment, and revenue programs, often with Agile or waterfall methods.

Responsibilities include gathering technical requirements, evaluating infrastructure, data conversion plans, and documenting existing systems while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Position Description

CSG is seeking Technical Consultants to join our consulting staff. You will work on highly productive project teams delivering our services to state government agencies nationwide in one of the following areas:

• Healthcare and Human Services
• Child Support
• Child Welfare
• Unemployment Insurance
• Motor Vehicle
• Revenue/Tax

Responsibilities include

• Addressing technical aspects of projects, including gathering and assessing technical requirements and some aspects of the business areas.
• Analyzing and making recommendations on improving technology infrastructure.
• Assessing test plans and test execution.
• Assessing data conversion plans and data conversion execution.
• Technology strategy and planning for hardware, software, and large-scale system implementation projects.
• Analyzing and documenting existing systems and databases.

Additional Experience

• Expertise with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working as a member of a project team functioning as a technical analyst for large-scale technology projects utilizing agile and waterfall methodologies
• Facilitating the elicitation and documentation of technical requirements and joint application design sessions
• Communicating project issues and risks to the project management team
• Familiarity with working as a Consultant on state government projects is a plus

Travel Requirement: Up to 25% on average. Consultants work remote until needed at client location.
