Job summary

Odyssey, an engineering and integration company, seeks a Junior Systems Integration and Test Engineer (SE‑2) to support the 46 Test Squadron / TGBC at Eglin AFB, FL under the TMAS III contract.

Responsibilities include designing, constructing, and supporting test equipment and software; performing hands‑on integration, operation, and maintenance of hardware; and analyzing failures to drive corrective actions. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Active Secret Clearance; must be eligible for TS/SCI.
• 1–3 years of experience in systems or test engineering.

• Develop and maintain ADTL test support hardware, software, and scripts in compliance with established security guidelines.
• Perform hands‑on integration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and electrical components, including use of electrical measurement tools for verification and validation.
• Analyze failures associated with test equipment and provide recommended corrective actions.
• Support Test Engineers with the design and development of test architectures and engineering solutions.
• Review technical documentation to gather system data needed for design and support activities.
• Interface with program offices to assist in developing engineering solutions.
• Support test teams by integrating engineered solutions into test plans, CONOPS, test cards, data‑analysis plans, and formal reports.

Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Systems Integration and Test Engineer (SE‑2) supporting the 46 Test Squadron / TGBC at Eglin AFB, FL under the TMAS III contract.

The Datalinks Test Flight is seeking a degreed computer scientist or engineer with foundational knowledge in software development/scripting and hands‑on interest in designing, constructing, integrating, and supporting test and evaluation (T&E) systems within the Advanced Datalinks Test Lab (ADTL). This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy innovative digital communication technologies, and are eager to learn across multiple technical domains.

Position responsibilities range from supporting project team leads to potentially leading project efforts as experience is gained. This is an onsite position.

This is a full‑time position at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, with travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Assist ADTL management in designing, constructing, and supporting test equipment and systems
• Develop and maintain ADTL test support hardware, software, and scripts in compliance with established security guidelines
• Perform hands‑on integration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and electrical components, including use of electrical measurement tools for verification and validation
• Analyze failures associated with test equipment and provide recommended corrective actions
• Support Test Engineers with the design and development of test architectures and engineering solutions
• Review technical documentation to gather system data needed for design and support activities
• Interface with program offices to assist in developing engineering solutions
• Support test teams by integrating engineered solutions into test plans, CONOPS, test cards, data‑analysis plans, and formal reports
• Develop and maintain continuity documentation and engineering solution libraries
• Develop and present technical briefings to the test community, program offices, and senior personnel
• Travel to contractor facilities, test sites, and other locations as needed
• Participate in the planning, execution, data analysis, report generation, and other program‑related activities
• Support additional tasks assigned by TGBC leadership

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance;must be eligible for TS/SCI and SAP access

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other relevant technical fields

Years of Experience: 1–3 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for education)

• Strong organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and within team environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: TS/SCI

• Understanding of digital data RF systems or data links
• Python scripting experience
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with hardware/software testing and development of automated test tools

Technical Skills

• Foundational knowledge in software development and scripting
• Ability to design, construct, and support hardware/software for T&E systems
• Understanding of digital data RF systems or data links (preferred)
• Experience with Python scripting (preferred)
• Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems (preferred)
• Experience with software/hardware testing and automated test tools/fixtures (preferred)
