Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer 1 to support project estimates under guidance from senior engineers and the preconstruction manager.

The role includes developing proposals, preparing thorough Estimation Packages, and communicating with manufacturers and vendors for bids and lead times. The candidate will study plans, identify discrepancies, and assist with design and coordination with the electrical team, while supporting preconstruction and operations throughout the project

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in the security/AV or low‑voltage tech field.
• AVIXA/BICSI or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Degree in a related field or completion of a technology curriculum is preferred.
• Minimum two years of progressive experience in the technology trade is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project estimates and develop proposals.
• Prepare full estimation packages including materials, labor, logistics.
• Review specifications and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with preconstruction team and vendors to secure best solutions.
• Attend site walks and turnover meetings to ensure scope alignment.
• Meet deadlines, often under tight timeframes.
