Job summary

CACI is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to join a GEOINT program delivering NGA capabilities. You’ll learn hands-on under senior engineers, contribute to mission-critical systems, and build competence across software, data, and infrastructure in a collaborative team.

You will support requirements analysis, documentation, and verification activities, while growing your understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and Agile ceremonies. A TS/SCI clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
• 0–3 years of engineering experience (academic, internship, or professional).
• Foundational understanding of systems engineering or software development lifecycle concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply established processes and work effectively within a team.
• Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs.
• Exposure to requirements or test management tools.
• Coursework or projects involving GIS, data systems, or cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements analysis, documentation, and traceability under senior guidance.
• Assist in developing and maintaining interface documentation and engineering artifacts.
• Support verification and validation activities including test documentation and execution support.
• Help investigate system issues and document analysis and resolutions.
• Maintain engineering documentation and configuration records.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as part of a cross-functional team.
• Follow established engineering processes, checklists, and standards.
