Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Junior System Admin to join our team in Stennis, MS. The role involves analyzing software and hardware architectures for mission systems, developing system requirements, and implementing MMS designs with diverse tools.

You will manage lab configurations, develop interfaces, and support various MMS computer systems. You will be responsible for testing, documentation, and collaboration with senior developers to ensure usability, reliability and security across MMS

• Manage setup, configuration and maintenance of the MMS lab and network environment.
• Develop interfaces to other systems and sensors for tooling, configuration, service updates and data recording.

• Install, run and apply various software and firmware applications for the MMS.
• Develop and conduct unit, auto-test, system functional tests, integration tests and lab/asset testing.
• Develop technical documentation and reports related to MMS.
• Work with team members to improve usability, reliability and maintainability.

Prescient Edge is seeking a Junior System Admin

• Analyze software & hardware architectures, designs and functional requirements for aircraft, marine & surface mission systems.
• Develop system requirements.
• Design, develop, test and implement MMS designs and software applications using tools such as Microsoft Visio, .dwg applications, Linux, System Security Protocol (SSP), NXLog, JAVA, Javascript, Python, SQL, OWL, CSS, C++, C#, Bootstrap, XML, HTML & WMSNAL.
• Manage set up, configuration and maintenance of the MMS lab and network environment.
• Develop interfaces to other systems and sensors for tooling, configuration, service updates and data recording.
• Support development, installation and support of computer systems and software on a variety of MMS hardware configurations in a lab environment or on asset.
• Install, run and apply various software and firmware applications for the MMS.
• Develop and conduct unit, auto-test, system functional tests, integration tests and lab/asset testing.
• Develop technical documentation and reports (MS word, PPT, excel) related to MMS.
• Work with team members to provide system usability, reliability, maintainability and resolve customer trouble reports.
• Build system, data, map and satellite drives from the data base.
• Conduct System Administration functions such as password set up, system cyber scans, create log in access, SSP/NXlog functions, troubleshoot networks and manage accounts.
• Execute frequent travel to meet Government requirements.
• Be able to accept guidance from Senior Developers, Engineers and Mentors.
• Conduct reviews and accept feedback from team members, leadership & government users.
• Build visions, business relationships & goals for future endeavors.

Location

• Stennis, MS (Pivoting hours nights and weekends will be required).
• Travel required.

Clearance

• Active Secret clearance.
