Qualifications

• BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from an accredited university.
• 0-1 years of experience.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering to build on.
• Candidates should enjoy living in the Orlando area, or have a desire and ability to relocate there with minimal assistance.
• Must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform the detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, and yard layouts.
• Provide QA/QC support for deliverables to clients.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex designs.
• Involve in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.
