Job summary

VHB is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to launch your career in the Structures group in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Atlanta. You will support all aspects of transportation-related structural design and engineering projects, including field work, plan sets, design calculations, detailing, and construction document preparation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis preferred.
• 0-1 years of structural engineering experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the structural design of transit and highway structures from conceptual to final design
• Participate in site visits to collect data necessary for preliminary design
• Assist in drafting of project details and plans using Microstation, AutoDesk or other CAD software
• Preparation of quantity calculations and cost estimate
• Assists in preparing contract documents and specifications
