Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Tampa, FL is seeking a dynamic Junior Structural Engineer to support the Project Delivery Group.

Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer, you will assist in developing project scopes, engineering estimates, and repair methodologies while applying civil and structural engineering principles. You will gain hands-on experience with structural steel, concrete, and foundation design, and collaborate with a global team to deliver safe, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be university graduates with relevant skills.
• ABET-accredited degree preferred in civil engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Structural Engineer. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from our Tampa, FL office location.

Qualifications:

• Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be university/college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
• Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assist the Lead Structural Engineer in developing project scopes, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates and developing repair methodologies
• Apply Civil / Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment
• Directly apply and develop knowledge in structural steel,concreteand foundationdesign forbuilding and equipment supportstructures
• Design structures and components
• Gain valuable on-site practical experience

You bring to the role:

• Knowledge of structural steel and concrete design
• Knowledge of using IBC, ACI and AISC code
• FE / E.I.T certification in hand and asset
• 3D analytical softwareexperiencesan asset
• Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset

• Perform assignments related to your sector
• Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
• Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
• Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
• Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed
