Job summary

ANS is seeking an entry-level Structural Designer I to join our growing structural engineering team in Raleigh. You will learn to produce structural drawings and details for solar, battery storage, and high‑voltage projects under close supervision.

You will work with engineers and senior designers, use AutoCAD and Revit to revise drawings, and ensure CAD standards and file control are followed as part of a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level drafting role with close supervision.
• Experience with Autodesk drafting software is a plus.
• Ability to learn CAD standards and project workflows.

Responsibilities

• Use Autodesk products to prepare and revise structural drawings and details.
• Assist with drafting foundations, steel structures, and building envelopes.
• Coordinate with civil design team on BOMs and quantity takeoffs.
• Work with engineers and senior designers to incorporate revisions.
• Follow Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards on drawings.
• Adhere to CAD standards, templates, and revision control.
