Job summary

ANS is seeking a Structural Engineer I to join our growing structural team in Raleigh, NC. You’ll work under mentorship to support analysis and design of foundations, steel structures, and other components for renewable energy projects including PV, BESS, and HV systems.

Under supervision, you will use Excel and RISA to complete calculations, pursue EIT/FE licensure, and contribute to drawings and BOMs while growing toward professional independence.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in structural, civil, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0+ years of experience; internship or co-op helpful; EIT/FE optional but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, overhead steel structures, envelopes, and non-building structures under supervision.
• Apply industry codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, NESC, ASCE 113, IEEE 693, NFPA) with guidance.
• Adhere to Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards on all tasks.
• Assist in development of structural drawings and BOM inputs with design team.
