Job summary

Apex Engineers, Inc. seeks entry-level design engineers for our Kansas City office to work with architects, contractors, and property owners on a range of projects including residential and commercial developments.

You will model and draft in Revit (and occasionally AutoCAD), coordinate with MEP and civil teams, and manage several projects from schematic design through construction administration, ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in civil/architectural/structural engineering.
• FE passed or scheduled before start date; EIT strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs, plans, and calculations with team and clients.
• Coordinate with MEP and civil disciplines across residential, commercial, and multifamily projects.
• Manage multiple projects through schematic design to construction administration and meet deadlines.
• Model/draft in Revit; occasional AutoCAD drafting.
• Review shop drawings, truss certifications, and i-joist certifications.
• Respond to RFIs and conduct site visits to document findings.
• Keep clients and supervisor updated on project status.

Education

ABET-accredited degree in civil/architectural/structural engineering

FE exam passed or scheduled
