Job summary

Valmont Industries in Omaha, NE, is seeking an Associate Engineer to support structural analysis and design for utility products. The role partners with senior engineers, drafting, sales, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet specifications, safety standards, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 0–2 years of experience.
Engineer-in-Training certificate is a plus.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; able to communicate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design using FEA and other engineering software.
Apply engineering principles and industry codes to complete designs for quotations and manufacturing.
Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into manufacturable designs.
Provide engineering support to drafting, sales, quoting, and project teams.
Communicate technical information to stakeholders and customers.
Assist with engineering-related pricing and quotation activities.
Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure cost-effective production.
