Job summary

Confidential Employer in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer-in-Training to assist with design for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will prepare calculations, drawings, and documentation under supervision and gain experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems.

Candidates must have EIT certification and a civil/structural degree; recent grads are encouraged.

Qualifications

• EIT certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
• Interest in building structural engineering and design.
• 1+ years of building structural design experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with structural analysis, calculations, or construction drawings.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, RAM is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Recent graduates and internship/project experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural engineering design for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and documentation under supervision.
• Support the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems.
• Collaborate with project engineers to develop practical, code-compliant solutions.
• Assist with structural analysis, design reviews, and construction documentation.
• Work with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout the design process.
• Learn industry software, engineering standards, and building design best practices.
• Gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges and develop problem-solving skills.
