Job summary

Acrisure Protection Group is hiring a Junior Staff Accountant for our Irvine, CA headquarters. This in-office role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with potential overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting the accounting team with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. Strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and attention to detail are essential to support accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years accounting experience with GAAP knowledge.
• Proficient with Excel (large data sets, formulas, pivot tables).
• Experience with Sage Intacct or ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently within a accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end flux analysis and variance explanations.
• Review transactions for proper GL coding and documentation.
• Assist in month-end close process and journal entries.
• Reconcile asset and liability accounts timely.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and audit schedules.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
