Job summary

Bitdeer is building an AI-operated GPU cloud — a global fleet of data centers run by a platform that observes, protects, and operates the fleet. The SRE Platform team builds the monitoring and automation substrate used by storage, network, GPU, K8S, and L1 operators.

As an entry-level Software Engineer on the SRE / Monitoring Platform team, you contribute to the NeoCloud SRE platform under a senior engineer, delivering components through GitOps + CI/CD and meeting SLOs with drift-free code.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of software engineering experience; new grads welcome.
• Solid fundamentals in Go, Python, Java or Rust with readable code.
• CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, OS concepts.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and observability basics.
• Experience with Linux, shell, and basic debugging tools.
• Exposure to monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and basic PromQL.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI pipelines; Git workflows.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; curiosity to learn.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to collection, storage, and enrichment components for observability data.
• Develop alerting, correlation, and SLO frameworks; tune default rules.
• Work on topology, health metrics, and OSS-SRE tooling for Kubernetes / cluster health.
• Assist in remediation workflows, job scheduling, and orchestration components.
• Instrument services with metrics, logs, and traces; build dashboards and runbooks.
• Maintain test discipline with unit, integration, and contract tests; participate in chaos testing.
