Job summary

KBR Mission Technology Solutions is seeking a Jr. System Engineer in El Segundo, CA. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and research interfaces, ensuring subsystems integrate into a fully viable system.

You will validate mission requirements and monitor performance, advising a customer on critical decisions. You will support the systems engineering lifecycle, manage risks, and contribute to COA development while ensuring compliance with space system standards and

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph ability.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication in fast-paced environments.
• Self-starter able to partner with multiple teammates and present clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support end-user needs by identifying and resolving system issues in space systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, leads, and customers to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop system requirements and specifications aligned with mission objectives.
• Participate in trade studies to improve performance, architecture, and solutions.
• Contribute to COA development considering operational constraints.
• Create technical documents to support project deliverables.
• Stay updated on standards for space systems integration and compliance.
• Provide lifecycle systems engineering support, managing risks and mitigations.
• Track activities for systems engineering, software/hardware development, and deployment.
• Engage in continuous improvement of ground processing and mission management.
