Report to:

Executive Chef

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

• Assist in daily kitchen operations, including staff support, cost controls, inventory regulation, safety standards, food handling, ordering, and maintaining standards, quality, and cleanliness.
• Display good judgment and effective decision-making skills.
• Ensure ongoing staff development through cross-training and recognizing performance.
• Maintain a presence with kitchen staff during operations.
• Conduct staff and shift meetings, keeping staff informed of developments and upcoming events.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce risks related to incidents, injuries, and food handling.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years experience in a high-volume kitchen and food service operation.
• Current Texas Food Handler Certification.
• Proven leadership and motivational skills.
• Professional appearance and positive role modeling.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for high-quality food standards and safety practices.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, capable of multitasking.
• Accountability to high performance standards.
• Weekend and evening availability.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to work standing for 8+ hours in hot and cold kitchen conditions.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
