Job summary

New Leaf Energy, Inc. in Lowell/Boston, MA is seeking a Design Engineer I to join the Design Engineering team. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least two of every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and collaboration with design engineers, civil engineers, and project developers on solar PV projects from 3MW AC to 300MW AC.

You will evaluate site feasibility, design permit-ready plan sets, and contribute to design standards while supporting 15–25 projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience is preferred.
• Completion of at least 40 NABCEP credits preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design projects and perform feasibility analysis for potential sites.
• Design site use permit plan sets and bid-level drawings for permitting and IPP bidding.
• Train others on New Leaf Energy design standards and ensure milestone drawing releases.
